The Opportunity

Chick-fil-A 48th & O Street and Chick-fil-A North Star Crossing are seeking experienced restaurant leaders to serve as Front of House and Back of House Directors.

Our two independently owned and operated restaurants generate approximately $7.5 million and $4.7 million in annual sales. We are looking for leaders who can take meaningful ownership of restaurant operations, develop people, uphold high standards, and produce measurable business results.

Selected candidates will be primarily assigned to one restaurant and placed in either a Front of House or Back of House Director position based on their experience, strengths, and the needs of the business.

This is an active restaurant leadership position. Directors are expected to lead daily operations, coach other leaders and Team Members, analyze performance, solve problems, and strengthen the restaurant through consistent execution.
Front of House Director

The Front of House Director is responsible for creating a remarkable guest experience while leading the people, systems, and daily operations of the restaurant's hospitality team.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead Front of House operations during peak and non-peak periods
  • Maintain high standards for service, speed, accuracy, cleanliness, and hospitality
  • Coach Team Members and leaders in Chick-fil-A's service expectations
  • Resolve guest questions, concerns, and complaints with urgency and care
  • Build schedules and deploy Team Members effectively
  • Manage labor, productivity, and overtime
  • Ensure Front of House equipment and facilities are clean, organized, and properly maintained
  • Hold leaders accountable for assigned responsibilities, goals, and performance indicators
  • Develop Shift Leaders, Captains, and emerging leaders
  • Review guest-experience and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Coordinate with Back of House leadership to ensure efficient restaurant operations
  • Build a healthy, accountable, and engaging team culture
Back of House Director

The Back of House Director is responsible for leading food production while maintaining high standards for food safety, quality, efficiency, cleanliness, and financial stewardship.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead Back of House operations during peak and non-peak periods
  • Ensure food is prepared safely, accurately, and according to Chick-fil-A quality standards
  • Maintain strong food safety and sanitation practices
  • Coach Team Members and leaders on proper procedures and performance expectations
  • Build schedules and deploy Team Members effectively
  • Manage food cost, waste, inventory, productivity, and controllable expenses
  • Ensure Back of House equipment is clean, operational, and properly maintained
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and organized storage areas
  • Hold leaders accountable for assigned responsibilities, goals, and performance indicators
  • Develop Shift Leaders, Captains, and emerging leaders
  • Use restaurant data to identify operational or financial gaps and implement solutions
  • Coordinate with Front of House leadership to ensure timely and accurate service
  • Build a healthy, accountable, and engaging team culture
Shared Director Responsibilities

All Directors are expected to:
  • Lead restaurant operations and maintain high standards during demanding periods
  • Communicate expectations clearly and follow through consistently
  • Coach, develop, and hold other leaders accountable
  • Use performance data to identify problems and implement sustainable solutions
  • Contribute to restaurant goals and strategic priorities
  • Protect the safety of guests and Team Members
  • Participate in leadership meetings and development opportunities
  • Support hiring, training, retention, and performance management
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and remain composed under pressure
  • Work collaboratively with other Directors and senior leadership
  • Perform operational duties when necessary to support the restaurant
Required Qualifications
  • Previous restaurant leadership experience
  • Experience leading and holding other managers or leaders accountable
  • Strong understanding of restaurant finances and performance indicators
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
  • Open availability, including nights and Saturdays
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and retain people

Previous Chick-fil-A leadership experience is valuable but not required. We welcome proven leaders from other restaurant brands who demonstrate the character, judgment, operational knowledge, and leadership ability required for the position.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting compensation is $25+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule and Work Location

This is a full-time position requiring open availability. Directors should expect to work a combination of opening, daytime, evening, and Saturday shifts according to the needs of the restaurant.

The selected candidate will be primarily assigned to either Chick-fil-A 48th & O Street or Chick-fil-A North Star Crossing in Lincoln, Nebraska.
