JOB PURPOSE

We are hiring an Energy Solutions Engineer to support our Business Development team. In this role, you'll serve as the technical expert throughout the sales process, driving power system applications and helping customers understand how Virtual Utility® enhances power reliability, efficiency, and sustainability. You'll collaborate with Business Development Managers, engineers, and customers to design tailored system solutions, prepare proposals, and contribute to closing deals.

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 annual base salary plus uncapped commissions with multi-year ESA residuals

This position is based on-site at our Bonita Springs, FL headquarters and requires travel to customer locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support Business Development Managers as the technical lead during the sales process
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on BESS solutions integrating on-site generation, renewables, and high-voltage infrastructure to meet customer power reliability and efficiency needs
  • Provide technical expertise on high-voltage power systems, including voltage regulation, transient response, and seamless grid synchronization
  • Meet with customers to understand their energy and facility needs
  • Collaborate with engineering to develop system layouts and proposals based on customer requirements
  • Explain the R3Di® System and its benefits in clear, simple terms
  • Prepare cost estimates, ROI calculations, and technical documents
  • Coordinate with internal engineering and operations teams to confirm design accuracy
  • Attend customer meetings, site visits, and industry events
  • Follow all safety procedures and represent e2Companies professionally at customer sites
  • Maintain accurate records of site visits and follow all access and compliance requirements
  • Help train sales staff on technical details and system performance
  • Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (MUST-HAVE)
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years in power systems, electrical infrastructure, critical power, or energy-related technical environments
  • Experience with high-voltage equipment, power conditioning, or grid integration in distributed energy systems
  • Comfortable explaining technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Must comply with all site-specific safety, security, and training requirements
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able totravel up to 60-75%of the time
  • On-site presence required in Bonita Springs, FL

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE-TO-HAVE)
  • 3+ years of experience with distributed energy systems such as natural gas generation, battery energy storage systems (BESS), HV power systems, or microgrids
  • Understanding of energy markets, demand response, or utility programs
  • Prior experience supporting technical sales or proposals
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Work may include site visits that require standing, walking, or climbing in industrial or outdoor environments
  • Must be able to safely navigate active construction and electrical environments with appropriate PPE (provided)
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required for equipment demonstrations or site activities
  • Must maintain compliance with all company safety policies and client site access requirements
