At Gates, we welcome challenges, celebrate hard work, and continually seek new talent to join our global company. Our Denver office is looking for recent graduates for our Automotive Leadership Development Program. Please review below to see if this might be the right opportunity for you.
 
The Automotive Leadership Development Program is a 1-2 year development program that is designed to shape our future Sales leaders while building your skills and giving you the exposure you need to be successful. The program includes cross-functional project-based rotations, exposure to senior management, exposure to customers, and product training. You will receive formal training on our products, divisions, customers, and more. You will spend the majority of the program in Denver; successful completion of the program will result in placement in one of our field sales regions across the country (e.g. Atlantic Coast, Southwest, etc.).
 
The purpose of this program is to accelerate professional development through project-based business assignments, and the benefits are to gain a diverse knowledge and understanding of the business as well as experience within the world of industrial sales.
 
This program will include rotations through a variety of departments including:
  • Customer Service
  • Product Management
  • Cataloging
  • Marketing
  • Sales Productivity
  • Field Sales

EDUCATION:
 
  • Must be a current student with a graduation date between December 2019 and June 2020
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and/or Marketing, Automotive Management, Business Management, Distribution, or a related field, preferred
  • Will also consider Associate’s Degree with a strong concentration in an Automotive or related field
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Related internship or similar previous experience highly preferred
  • Passion and motivation to learn and excel within the sales world
  • Desire to work in the automotive aftermarket
  • Geographically mobile within the US (relocation assistance will be provided)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

TRAVEL: You will make occasional trips to manufacturing facilities, customers, and others.
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
