What Your Job Will Be Like This job involves the management, sorting and characterization of photovoltaic (PV) electrical connectors sent to Sandia from PV sites across the US. While connector failure is a serious economic and safety issue, no single root cause has been identified. To address this issue, Sandia is acquiring large numbers of suspect connectors from a variety of sources for analysis. The DICE facility houses a portable flash x-ray diode system generating pulsed x-rays for x-ray diffraction and radiography.
