The DICE facility houses a portable flash x-ray diode system generating pulsed x-rays for x-ray diffraction and radiography. In the initial stage of the project, the intern would be part of a team to work on: Supporting, upgrading, and maintaining the x-ray diode system Characterize system performance at various x-ray energies Use an ultrafast x-ray camera to radiograph test samples.
