What Your Job Will Be Like We are seeking a summer intern to work on a project related to the modeling of plastic deformation mechanisms in structural alloys under irradiation conditions via atomistic simulations. On any given day, you may be called on to: Develop routines to explore the energetics of dislocation reactions in specialized molecular dynamics software Launch atomistic simulations in high-performance computing clusters Analyze the results of atomistic simulations using quantitative metrics and dislocation visualization tools Assist with the planning of computational workflows Make publication-quality figures The selected applicant can work a combination of onsite and offsite work. The selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.
