The Purchasing Supervisor oversees the day-to-day activities of assigned team members and purchasing operations; and provides leadership that creates cohesiveness and accountability. In addition, this position monitors and reviews requested orders to identify and resolve "on hold" items, or to contact the appropriate contact for resolution; initiates the purchase of aircraft parts, for special programs and new equipment, via telephone, internet, fax, etc.; and responds to inquiries from team members, external customers, vendors, and the general public and resolves departmental problems/issues.
