Job Description Position Summary The MT Specialist assists the Assistant Section Manager and Manager with the overall management of his/her subdivision. The MT Specialist provides technical expertise and leadership to troubleshoot testing, equipment, and quality control issues. As a MT Specialist you will: Prioritize workload within subdivision to maximize the efficiency of personnel and supplies. Serve as lead worker. Prepare specimens as required for laboratory testing and provides leadership into problem specimen issues. Review data and assures quality control procedures are performed for respective subdivision. Responsible for managing routine technical problems. Notifies assistant section manager, section manager and pathologist when unusual problems develop.
