What Your Job Will Be Like We are looking for undergraduate students in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or closely related field with interest in electric power systems. Interns can expect to work in the area of electric power systems focused on technical contributions and hands on work in these areas: Power systems Grid resilience Data analytics Controls Power system simulation and modeling Energy storage systems Power system planning & operations Smart grid operations Natural hazard / threat modeling Geospatial science Wildfire science Laboratory hardware in the loop simulation On any given day, you may be called on to: Work with a mentor and a team of researchers for a specific project and task Perform valuable input to solve complex problems Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
