The Lead Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasounds and other required modalities within individual department(s). Examinations are performed independently, under physician supervision, and with peer collaboration as is appropriate. The Lead Sonographer effectively leads/manages team as the Lead in all work areas. The Lead Sonographer also helps to mentor and educate all levels of staff. The position is allotted a minimum of 8 hours a week administration time. Eligibility to remain as a lead sonographer is determined at a yearly evaluation based on fulfillment of job responsibilities throughout the prior year.
