The Paint Specialist silver tapes and chemically strips aircraft; masks, sands and prepares aircraft surface for priming; primes overalls; and prepares aircraft surface for and paints stripes and some overall base painting according to manufacturer's specifications, Duncan Aviation approved procedures, and customer specifications in a safe and clean environment using Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and fall protection. In addition, this position may perform spray painting; and prepares and completes appropriate documentation and personal training log. Essential Job Functions 1. With minimal supervision, proficiently applies primers and topcoats using appropriate techniques and knowledge of primers. Maintains pressure pots and paint guns. 2.
