Summary of Position: The Braze Trainer is responsible for developing Brazers specific to the organization's business and production processes. The primary functions of this role require the Braze Trainer to gain expertise within the organization, train and test brazers on certain qualifications, and keep accurate data on current brazing staff.

This position will be 2nd shift hours (Monday-Thursday 400pm-230am) working at The Trane Co. welding lab (Building 13) at 1700 Horton Street, La Crosse, WI
Essential Functions

2. Complete all required College training and responsible for maintaining the skills necessary to complete the essential functions of the position as defined by the department.

4. Training and Assessment - Supporting Action/Task May Include:

  • Develop curriculum and present training on safety, brazing processes and inspection. Conduct specialized training topics as needed
  • Schedule and administer hands-on brazing training and testing per company certification requirements.
  • Control, maintain and issue the Brazer Index sheet and update inactive Brazer qualifications
  • Review Brazer procedure specifications (WPS) to ensure training practices meet compliance and modify as needed

5. Business Integration - Supporting Action/Task May Include:

  • Understand and adapt to individual corporate culture
  • Develop expert knowledge of corporate Standard Operating Procedure, work instructions, and business processes as it relates to brazing
  • Advise and communicate across the organization as it relates to brazing training, testing, qualifications, and reporting.

6. Student support - Supporting Action/Task May Include:

  • Maintain required records, advise results, and identify additional necessary training
  • Review with the Brazer each brazing procedure specification and performance qualifications for each test

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years (6,000 hours) verifiable occupational experience in brazing OR
  • Technical Diploma in Welding
Required Certification/Licenses:
  • Complete Brazing Train-the-Trainer course within one year of hire
Required Testing:
  • Hearing Baseline Test and annual audiogram
  • Class C Vision Evaluation
