About This Role A Day in the Life of a Quality Engineer I:
- Performs quality planning activities including development of Quality Plan, Quality Assurance Directive and Inspection Plan documents as required by the assigned project(s).
- Reviews customer contracts; responsible for requirements analysis, identification and definitions.
- Interfaces with Supplier Quality Engineering to provide guidance and support for supplier issues.
- Uses knowledge of inspection tools and techniques to define inspection requirements.
- Participates in process improvement activities through monitoring, root cause investigations, auditing, failure analysis.
- Participates in design document reviews and assist in developing fabrication/build processes and standards.
- Interfaces with internal organizations and systems in performance of the assigned Quality Engineering functions.
Qualifications What You'll Need:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering "or related fields and/or less than 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of statistical techniques and applications.
- Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks.
- Effective written and oral communication skills, good interpersonal skills.
- This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
