What You'll DoAs a Mechanical Engineer, you'll work alongside experienced engineers supporting HVAC and building automation projects that make a real difference for our clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the development and implementation of energy conservation standards and engineering best practices
- Analyze HVAC system performance and identify opportunities for optimization
- Assist with building automation system (BAS) programming reviews and control strategies
- Review sequences of operation and recommend performance improvements
- Support commissioning, retro-commissioning, and measurement & verification activities
- Analyze HVAC and BAS data to identify energy-saving opportunities
- Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams and client stakeholders
- Ensure engineering work complies with applicable codes, standards, and best practices
Travel: Approximately 5-8%
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2-3 years of professional engineering experience
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, thermodynamics, and mechanical building systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Passion for learning and continuous professional development
Preferred Qualifications - Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or plans to pursue PE licensure
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) or HVAC controls
- Exposure to commissioning or building performance projects
- Interest in energy engineering, sustainability, and high-performance buildings
