The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of today's and tomorrow's power grid!

The EA Business Unit in Wendell, North Carolina, which is its U.S. headquarters, focuses on photovoltaic inverters, medium-voltage power distribution equipment including packaging and services, and solutions, including automation. Additionally, assembly of low-voltage motor control centers, and retrofit and replacement circuit breakers occurs at the facility.

We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor - 1st Shift. This position will be based in Wendell, NC. Relocation assistance is available.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Materials Supervisor will lead the warehouse, receiving, and inventory control activities at the Siemens plant in Wendell, NC for 1st shift.

You'll make an impact by:

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Maintains department staff job results by training, measuring, monitoring, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
Ensure good condition of facility/equipment through regular audit and implementation of preventative maintenance protocols and 6S's.
Respond timely and professionally to Internal customers complaints and inquiries
Conduct short and mid-term capacity planning to ensure labor and equipment resources are balanced with demand
Monitor department workflow indicators and respond to exceptions (Picking, receiving, put away, materials transfers)
Troubleshooting complex inventory and departmental errors and conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Guide and manage the process of material flow within the facility to internal customers
Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient workflow and positive working relationships among teams
Conduct training for employees on all aspects of job performance including safety, quality, business processes, and HR policies
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous development within the team

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications:

3-5 years of leadership experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
Experience in areas such as Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or other related manufacturing functions
Experience with warehouse management systems
Proficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel
Experience with operating and maintaining a variety of warehouse material handling equipment
Experience with warehouse scanning equipment and applications
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SAP WM module
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related discipline
Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CPIM, CSCP).
Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
