The Engine Division of Kawasaki Motors Corp, headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Test Technician to join our team.
In this role, while working under the direction and guidance of management you will provide support and assist engineering staff with conducting tests to evaluate current and future engine products.
This position is based onsite in Grand Rapids, MI. Relocation assistance may be offered on a case-by-case basis.Responsibilities: - Set up and perform engine dyno tests, including installation of engines and instrumentation, following test procedures, maintaining records of testing progress, and monitoring tests for issues and notifying engineering or management.
- Perform application-level tests, including installation and removal of engines from mowers and other machines, operating zero-turn ride on mowers and other types of outdoor power machinery.
- Basic diagnosis and troubleshooting of engines.
- Maintain engine test cells by identifying and replacing worn or broken components, performing routine maintenance, and keeping a clean and organized workspace.
- Support troubleshooting problems with dynamometers and other test equipment.
- Assembly and disassembly of engines for inspection or installation of parts, utilizing hand tools and other specialized tools.
- Responsible for ordering and maintaining stock of parts and materials.
- Basic computer skills including basic use of Microsoft excel for data entry, making simple graphs or tables, and managing data files.
Qualifications and Experience:- High school diploma or GED required.
- 0-2 years' experience with hands-on testing procedures.
- Some experience and knowledge with machinery, tools and manufacturing equipment.
- Enjoys working in a team environment and learning from other team members.
