Relocation Opportunity - Bedford, Virginia

HF Custom, a division of Hooker Furnishings, is seeking experienced Upholsterers to join our manufacturing team in Bedford, Virginia. We are looking for skilled craftspeople with a passion for quality workmanship and experience building upholstered furniture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Upholster furniture frames according to engineering specifications and quality standards
• Apply fabric, padding, foam, and other upholstery materials to furniture components
• Install springs, webbing, cushions, and upholstery coverings as required
• Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and upholstery equipment safely and effectively
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality and appearance standards are met
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals

Qualifications
Required

• Minimum 3 years of upholstery experience in furniture manufacturing
• Experience upholstering chairs, sofas, sectionals, or other upholstered furniture
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday

Preferred

• Experience working with custom or higher-end upholstered furniture
• Experience with fabric upholstery applications
• Experience with vinyl upholstery materials

Please note: Our products are primarily upholstered in fabric, with some vinyl applications. Extensive leather experience is not required.
