Position Overview We are seeking a
Senior Electrical Engineer to support industrial automation and electrical control systems in a manufacturing environment. The role will focus on
PLC programming, automation troubleshooting, and electrical system design to support plant operations and capital projects.
The ideal candidate is a
self-starter with a strong work ethic who can manage projects, oversee contractors, and ensure safe, efficient electrical systems across production operations.
Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment
- Program and troubleshoot PLC systems
- Configure and maintain industrial automation networks
- Manage capital and expense budgets for plant electrical projects
- Oversee contractors and coordinate with maintenance technicians
- Ensure compliance with equipment safety standards
- Support plant operations by resolving automation and electrical system issues
Required Skills - Strong experience with Allen Bradley PLCs
- PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Experience with remote I/O and HMIs
- Knowledge of Rockwell automation software
- Industrial Ethernet communication and machine network layout
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards including NFPA 70E
- Ability to manage electrical projects and budgets
Preferred Skills - Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience supervising contractors and maintenance teams
- Ability to design and implement industrial automation systems
Experience Requirements - 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering or automation
- Hands-on experience with industrial automation and PLC systems
Education - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field preferred
