The Software Engineer IV - Remote is a senior technical leader who combines deep hands-on engineering expertise with architectural vision and organizational influence. This individual drives the design and delivery of complex software systems, sets technical direction across teams, and serves as a key mentor and communication bridge between engineering and stakeholders. The employee must demonstrate exceptional judgment, a continuous learning mindset, and the ability to lead through both technical contribution and cross-functional collaboration.

Your Impact

• Supports the architecture, design, and implementation of complex software systems and enhancements across local, networked, or Internet-related platforms; defines standards and patterns for the broader engineering team.
• Codes using current programming languages and technologies; establishes coding best practices and conducts technical design reviews
• Testing, debugging, and quality assurance practices across projects; champions engineering excellence and non-functional requirements such as scalability and reliability
• Maintains comprehensive technical documentation, architectural decision records, and procedures for installation, maintenance, and onboarding
• Partners with product management, business stakeholders, and end users to define system requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
• Uses secure software development practices, ensuring solutions meet security, compliance, and governance standards; proactively identifies and mitigates risk across the system lifecycle

Minimum Qualifications

Required

• BA/BS in Computer Scient or related technical degree
• 5+ years of related experience

Preferred

• Masters in related field
• Professional certifcations such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DeveOps Engineer Expert or Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD)

Pay range of $145,000 to $164,000 annual salary + annual bonus: up to 10% of base pay depending on bonus criteria. This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws. Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
