Chemours is seeking a Quality Manager to lead and manage our site quality performance! This position will report directly to the Plant Manager in our New Johnsonville, TN location.

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and sustaining site wide quality systems, policies, and performance to ensure products consistently meet customer, regulatory, and corporate requirements. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for the Quality Management System (QMS), laboratory operations, customer quality interface, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Manager serves as a key member of the plant leadership team and acts as the primary liaison between site operations, corporate quality, and customers on quality related matters.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Lead site Quality Management System (QMS), including ISO-based systems, audits, corrective actions, documentation control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as the ISO Management Representative and NSF point of contact, managing external auditor engagement and maintaining the Quality Manual, procedures, and standards.
  • Drive quality performance and governance by establishing regular quality reviews, monitoring KPIs, analyzing in-process and finished-product data, identifying trends, and ensuring timely, effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Promote strong use of SPC tools and data-driven decision-making across manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and analyze in-process and finished product quality performance; identify trends and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Oversee customer-facing quality activities, including audits, visits, complaint investigations, and incident management. Ensure timely, thorough responses to customer inquiries and lead the Quality Service Incident (QSI) program to deliver high-quality investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and communication.
  • Provide leadership for laboratory operations and quality personnel, including staffing, training, qualification, performance management, and development.
  • Coordinate sitewide quality improvement efforts in partnership with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, EHS/PSM, and other functions. Engage with site leaders to ensure effective implementation of corrective actions and continuous improvement projects related to product consistency, lab systems, packaging quality, and complaint reduction.
  • Represent the site in cross-site and business-level quality forums, contributing to quality councils, improvement teams, and broader organizational initiatives. Build strong relationships with Sales, Marketing, Global Product Management,
  • Embed quality into daily operations through regular engagement with operations personnel, reinforcing foundational quality practices, leadership accountability, and an annual quality review and goal-setting process focused on high-priority needs.
  • Champion and deploy the Chemours Business System (CBS) / Lean principles within the site quality organization by establishing standard work and daily management routines (visual management, tiered huddles, and KPI review), leading structured problem solving (e.g., A3/root cause), and driving Kaizen/continuous improvement to eliminate waste, improve process capability, and strengthen ownership and accountability for quality performance.

The following is required for this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Quality, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of progressive quality or manufacturing leadership experience, including people management responsibility.
  • Experience in chemical, industrial, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Statistical Process Controls, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with standard business and manufacturing systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, SAP or equivalent systems).
  • Self-motivated and driven to effect positive changes and continuous improvement through leading, managing, and contributing to organizational goals.
  • Strong leadership skills, data-driven problem solving, and a customer-focused mindset.

The following is preferred for this role:
  • Demonstrated experience leading ISO-based quality systems, audits, and corrective action programs.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or Black Belt certification.
  • Lead Auditor or Internal Quality Auditor certification.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional quality improvement initiatives.

$110,544.00 - $172,725.00

Annual Bonus Target:
11%
