Application Engineering & Technical Sales Support• Analyze customer requirements, specifications, and drawings to develop engineered solutions.
• Select and configure products to meet performance, cost, and manufacturability targets.
• Generate technical proposals, layouts, calculations, and supporting documentation.
• Support the sales team during pre-sale discussions, technical reviews, and customer meetings.
• Conduct feasibility assessments and risk analysis for custom applications.
• Configure Epicor Quotes and Job Traveler with detailed instructions for manufacture.
Product Expertise & Configuration• Maintain product configuration tools, standards, and design guides.
• Ensure solutions align with company engineering standards and manufacturing capabilities.
• Recommend product improvements based on field feedback and application trends.
• Provide installation and troubleshooting support for service groups.
• Provide technical training for engineering, customer service, sales, operations, and customers
Cross-Functional Coordination• Interface with design engineering, operations, and supply chain to ensure solution viability.
• Support transition from quote to order to production.
• Clarify technical scope and resolve discrepancies during project execution.
• Assist in root cause analysis for technical or field performance issues.
Documentation & Compliance• Prepare technical submittals, BOMs, MOMs, performance calculations, drawings, and standard product definitions (SPDs)
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and customer specifications.
• Process and research Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Change Orders.
Continuous Improvement• Identify opportunities to standardize repeat applications.
• Improve quoting accuracy, cycle time, and margin performance.
• Support product development initiatives through application insights.
• Create a culture of safety, increase awareness and compliance to procedures to achieve zero OSHA recordables, implement best practices and improvements regarding industrial hygiene.

SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a 4-year ABET accredited program.
Experience: • 3 - 5 years of experience in Product/Mechanical Engineering
• Proficient in 3D modeling, Autodesk Inventor preferred
• Familiar with document control, Autodesk Vault experience preferred
• Knowledge of geometric tolerancing and dimensioning
• Knowledge of ERP systems
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, 5S
• Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification preferred
• Familiar with safety programs such as Dupont STOP and OSHA compliance
Other Requirements:• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation in the development application of conveyor components
• Must be a creative thinker, results oriented, focused, and attentive to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Comfortable with changing priorities and aggressive schedules
• Regular business hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday with evening and weekend work as necessary to support company mission
• Minimal travel is typical but must be willing and able to travel 5 - 10% including some international travel therefore ability to obtain a passport is preferred
• Must be available and willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays to meet commitments

WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration. The noise level in the office environment is usually quiet. On the production floor, conditions can be expected to be noisy, dirty with fluctuating temperatures. When travel to customer sites is required, the environment may vary depending on the industry.
