Position Title: Mid-Level Routine Fixed/Stationary Equipment Maintenance Planner
Location: Baytown, Texas
Duration: 1+ Year Contract
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Per Diem: Not available (local candidates only)
Position Summary

The Routine Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing detailed work plans to safely and efficiently execute non-emergency maintenance activities. Work is identified, prioritized, and approved through the Risk Based Work Selection (RBWS) process and executed through weekly scheduling.

This role requires a strong background in piping systems and fixed or stationary equipment, along with the ability to build comprehensive job plans that support safe, cost-effective, and efficient execution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed maintenance plans for piping systems and fixed or stationary equipment
  • Plan non-emergency maintenance work including planned, next opportunity, and preventive maintenance activities
  • Prepare job plans with accurate labor estimates, cost projections, material requirements, and access considerations
  • Create and maintain task lists for recurring work (job plan library)
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs)
  • Write detailed work instructions including safety precautions, required tools, materials, and services
  • Coordinate contractor resource requirements in collaboration with the Contractor Management Coordinator (CMC)
  • Ensure all jobs are planned in alignment with required notification timelines
  • Confirm all materials and resources are secured and jobs are moved to "ready-to-schedule" status
  • Review and manage maintenance backlog on a weekly basis and distribute ready-to-schedule work
  • Identify recurring equipment issues and communicate findings to the Technical Asset Engineer
  • Close out completed work by entering notification history and technically completing work orders
  • Review completed job documentation and update task lists and BOMs as needed
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Significant experience in maintenance planning within a heavy industrial environment
  • Strong background in piping systems and fixed/stationary equipment
  • Proven experience developing detailed job plans, including labor, materials, and cost estimates
  • Experience working with CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including P&IDs
  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
