Role Overview
HireNow Staffing is partnering with a nationally respected law firm to hire a Conflicts Research Analyst for its Cleveland office. This position is a key member of the firm's ethics and intake infrastructure, helping attorneys evaluate risk, uphold professional responsibility obligations, and ensure new matters are cleared efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will support new client intake, lateral attorney onboarding, and ongoing matter management by performing thorough conflicts research and documentation.
Core responsibilities include:
Conducting conflict checks and structured database searches using Intapp or comparable platforms
Building effective search strategies to identify relationships across clients, affiliates, subsidiaries, and adverse parties
Reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing conflicts reports for attorneys and Conflicts Counsel
Performing corporate research through external tools and databases to uncover entity ownership, connections, and risk flags
Preparing engagement documentation, conflict waivers, and ethical screen memorandums for internal review
Partnering with Conflicts Attorneys, General Counsel, and intake teams to support conflict resolution workflows
Assisting with ongoing maintenance, cleanup, and reconciliation of client/matter records within the conflicts system
Providing timely, professional support to attorneys and staff across multiple practice areas
Supporting urgent or time-sensitive requests outside standard business hours when necessary
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
To be considered for interview, candidates must meet the following core requirements:
Minimum 1 year of conflicts experience within a mid-sized or large law firm environment
Working knowledge of legal ethics, professional responsibility standards, and conflicts protocols
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant law firm experience demonstrating strong legal operations foundation
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate work under pressure
Strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional services setting
Authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship now or in the future)
Ability to work onsite in Cleveland, OH (or relocate independently if needed)
Preferred Qualifications (Standout Candidates)

Direct experience using Intapp Open or similar conflicts management software
Experience drafting engagement letters, conflict waivers, and ethical screen documentation
Background supporting lateral partner or attorney conflict clearance
Experience with database integrity projects or large-scale client/matter cleanup initiatives
Strong analytical reporting skills and comfort presenting findings clearly to senior attorneys
