Our client is a locally established glass company with over a decade of experience delivering high-quality residential and select commercial glass projects. Their core focus includes frameless shower doors, custom mirrors, glass partitions, and glass repair services. Built on a reputation for craftsmanship, reliability, and attention to detail, the company is in a strong growth phase and expanding its capabilities into additional market segments. Position Overview
The General Manager is the senior operational leader at the company, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business — from day-to-day shop and field operations to team performance, customer satisfaction, and financial results. This is a hands-on role for a confident, organized leader who thrives in a trade environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Direct daily operations including scheduling, fabrication, and installation
  • Ensure all jobs are completed on time, on budget, and to our quality standards
  • Manage and develop a team of technicians, installers, and office staff
  • Oversee inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships
  • Develop and manage budgets; monitor job costing and P&L performance
  • Support estimating, sales, and contract review
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and commercial clients
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain all required licenses and permit
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of management experience in glass, construction, or a skilled trade
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage teams and projects
  • Financial literacy: budgeting, job costing, and P&L management
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in the home service or construction industry strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business/estimating software
 Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
