Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. The Opportunity This role is responsible IRA account opening, distributions and transfers and for the resolution of IRA issues and requests. An IRA Specialist assist clients with determining the available options and completing the proper forms for contributions and distributions in accordance with IRS regulations. The role supports the IRA Department to achieve the corporate goals for growth, retention and quality service for the Department. Candidate will have direct customer contact and must be able to provide superior customer service.
The working hours for this role is Tues - Friday: 10AM - 7PM & Saturday 8AM - 5PM At this time, Ally will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position
The Work Itself - Serves as the primary contact for IRA Plan and Account Opening.
- Responsible for the resolution of I RA requests and completes advanced research needed to resolve complex issues.
- Support representative to manage 50% of incoming customer calls.
- Reviews forms for accuracy and completeness in accordance with IRA regulations.
- Interact daily with Ally customers, beneficiaries, Customer Care representatives and other financial institutions.
- Ensures Ally Bank complies with applicable IRS regulations and state statutes
- Interacts with various departments within operations to remediate customer issues and discover solutions for case resolution.
- Recommends procedure/policy changes needed to avoid risk to the bank and improve customer experience.
- Advises management of any system or operational process issues that could negatively impact service delivery
- Maintains superior knowledge of Ally Bank's products and services
- Completes various reports to management.
The Skills You Bring Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent Preferred Qualifications - 2+ years' experience in financial services (Retail/personal banking HIGHLY preferred)
- Bachelor Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments.
- Able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Microsoft Office - Excel and PowerPoint
- Clear and effective verbal and collaboration skills

Base Pay Range : $47840 - $75000 USD
An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
