ElectroNet Consulting’s Power System Analysis (PSA) team is continuing to grow, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior/Principal PSA Engineer to lead the delivery of complex power system studies and provide technical leadership across our team.
Why is this an exciting role?
In this senior role, you will take the lead on high‑impact projects for generation and grid‑connected customers across New Zealand and Australia. You will be responsible for scoping and quoting work, guiding technical delivery, and ensuring studies are completed to a high standard of quality, accuracy, and timeliness. A key part of the role is mentoring and supporting other engineers and helping to shape best practice within the PSA team.
You will work closely with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams, translating complex technical analysis into clear, practical recommendations. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to business development, support tenders, and play a visible role in the ongoing growth of ElectroNet’s PSA capability.
This is a great opportunity for a recognised PSA specialist who enjoys combining hands‑on technical work with leadership, client engagement, and the chance to influence the future direction of power system analysis within a respected consultancy.
The way our company and teams are structured means that you can really make a difference to culture and strategy and see the difference that you make.
Our recent projects have included studies for major wind and solar farms, where we undertake work for both the developer and utility on the application and due diligence sides. We like to work as a trusted partner with our clients and are always looking at ways to innovate and challenge how things are done.
What can you bring to the team?
You will have a solid grounding in power system analysis and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will be at a Senior or Principal Engineer level and will need a university degree – BE Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent, five to eight years’ minimum relevant experience and will have:
