The Opportunity
A leading global specialty chemicals and materials company is looking for a Continuous Improvement Specialist to drive measurable operational gains across its Advanced Materials manufacturing sites. Reporting to the Operations Director – Advanced Materials, you'll own the CI program with a clear target: deliver 4% in annual cost savings while elevating quality, output, and CI culture across the organization. This is a high-visibility role with real influence over how the business improves — and room to grow with it.
Your Day-to-Day
- Lead the implementation and annual enhancement of the CI Maturity Assessment Scorecard to develop and sustain a strong CI culture
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of CI projects aligned to organizational goals and three-year strategic plans
- Monitor the monthly CI Scorecard and track progress across sites to keep improvement initiatives on target
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste, streamline processes, and improve operational efficiency
- Facilitate Kaizen events to address problems and drive immediate, measurable improvements
- Partner with manufacturing sites to establish CI best practices and provide hands-on guidance
- Participate actively in site review processes, providing reporting and accountability at the leadership level
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business
- Lean and/or Six Sigma certification or demonstrated proficiency
- 3–5 years of broad plant operations experience with a focus on continuous improvement, operations leadership, or integration
- Proven track record as a change leader within a large, complex organization
