We're hiring a Utility & Infrastructure Estimator for a well-established contractor seeking a technically strong estimator to prepare competitive, accurate bids across specialized infrastructure and utility scopes. You'll work independently on high-value estimates involving duct banks, substations, street lighting, traffic control, and related infrastructure systems.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in an autonomous environment and wants to build deeper expertise in a highly specialized market segment.

What You'll Be Doing
• Prepare complete and accurate utility/infrastructure cost estimates
• Interpret civil, electrical, and utility construction documents for takeoffs
• Perform labor, material, and time takeoffs using Bluebeam and estimating software
• Evaluate self-perform vs. subcontractor decisions for project scopes
• Determine quantities and pricing for major infrastructure materials
• Support bid strategy through financial feasibility and profitability analysis
• Submit competitive bids aligned with deadlines and company standards
• Maintain cost databases and update pricing/labor standards
• Monitor market pricing trends to maintain bid accuracy
• Provide value-engineering and cost-saving recommendations where appropriate

What We're Looking For
• 5+ years of infrastructure and utilities estimating experience
• Experience estimating duct banks, substations, street lighting, traffic control, or similar utility/infrastructure scopes
• Ability to independently interpret multidisciplinary construction documents across civil, electrical, and utility scopes
• Proficiency in estimating software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service orientation
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred

Compensation & Work Model
USD $120,000-$150,000 annually
Relocation assistance available for the right candidate
Permanent full-time
Onsite work arrangement
