Shipper / Receiver

Job Description

Reporting to Shipper/Receiver Team Lead. The Shipper / Receiver coordinates and administers shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate flow of materials. Shipping includes picking, packaging materials and arranging shipments to meet customer expectations. Receiving includes, and not limited to, receiving inbound materials for inventory and RMA products for service/repair. 

  • Processing of daily outbound deliveries and customer orders including picking; packaging and shipping tasks.
  • Conducts final visual inspection of shipped product and properly packs it to ensure safe delivery to customers.
  • Prepares shipping documents, creates waybills and arranges shipments based on ship date and requirements from sales order to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Notifies the Shipper/Receiver Team Lead when goods to ship are late or shipments cannot meet customer expectations.
  • Respond to internal teams regarding different requests associated with a shipment (such as number of boxes, weight and dimension and etc).
  • Receives and inspects inbound materials to ensure that part number, revision, quantity and delivery date match Purchase Order or Intercompany Sales Order requirements.
  • Notifies internal teams when received goods are found damaged, shortage or overage.
  • Notifies internal teams when incorrect serial number/quantity are found in RMA.
  • Performs various kinds of transactions related to receiving or shipping materials and makes sure the NetSuite database is correctly maintained.
  • Maintain accurate files and records in shipping/receiving documents for domestic and international transactions.
  • Acts as backup Packer when needed.
  • Proactively contributes to and implements continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintains warehouse and inventory area in clean and orderly fashion.
  • Adheres to LMI Employee Policy Manual.

Education and Qualifications

  • High school graduate with some technical post secondary training or experience.
  • Minimum of 2+ years working in shipper/receiver position.
  • Able to lift, push, and pull up to or more than 20 KG throughout the day.
  • Knowledge of operating procedures for packaging and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, walking stackers, carts, dollies, box tapers).
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Google sheets, Gmail).
  • Energetic and keen with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking, prioritizing and adapting to changes are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in packaging.
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing multiple carrier websites and software.
  • Experience working in the electronics industry.
  • International shipping knowledge is preferred.
  • Netsuite and RF-Smart experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a warehouse setting.

Salary Range
 
  • $42,700 - $57,370 CAD, Eligibility for Profit Sharing Program Participation (pending successful completion of probationary period and based on business performance) OR Commission plan.
