Job Description

Position Details 

  • 5 provider group looking to expand to 6 providers 

  • Employed practice 

  • 80% outpatient and 20% inpatient mix 

  • Teaching affiliation with Michigan State University medical students and family practice residents 

  • Collaborative and supportive practice environment  

  • Target patient load average of 25 patients per day 

  • Call currently 1:7 when fully staffed 1:9 

  • Delivery coverage is shared with 2 neonatologists and 3 NNPs. 

  • Level IIIA NICU 

  • Office with EMR-Athena 

  

Office Practice 

Each provider is assigned to three rooms. Each doctor is assigned a nurse in the office with direct oversight from a RN. A float nurse is available. The office is open 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Providers usually see patients from 8:00 am to noon and 1pm to 5pm. Patients are generally booked at 15/30-minute increments with some overbooking for acute problems. Providers should be comfortable seeing on average 20 to 25 patients per day. 

 

Patient-Centered Medical Home Designation (PCMH) — 30% of schedule is allotted for same-day appointments.
