Job Title: Pump Truck Operator

Location: Williston ND

Remote Status: ONSITE. Must live locally after hired. NO rotational schedules, company-paid housing, or relocation assistance.

Rotational On Call Schedule Required Must be able to respond (report to yard, load truck, arrive on wellsite) within the timeframe specified by each customer (typically less than 2 hours)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly. "Home every night". Overtime is available and expected.

Job Summary Loading, transporting, and applying chemical product to oil wells at customer locations using high pressure pumping equipment.

Certifications/Licenses: Class B CDL with tanker, hazmat, and airbrakes required. Class A CDL highly preferred.

Essential Duties - other duties as assigned
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of company vehicle and equipment
  • Properly load and unload trucks
  • Deliver chemicals in a timely manner, as scheduled
  • Applies chemical treatments to oil wells per company and customer specifications
  • Accurately complete bills of lading (BOLs) according to company policy
  • Maintain accurate inventory reports according to company policy
  • Maintain driver's logs, according to DOT regulations
  • Maintain high pressure pumping equipment
  • Skillfully and safely operate high pressure pumping equipment
  • Follow all SOPs (standard operating procedures)
  • Work well independently and as a team
  • Provide excellent customer service

Qualifications
Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED. Chemical, pumping, and/or truck treating experience highly preferred.

Certifications/Licenses: Class B CDL with tanker, hazmat, and airbrakes required. Class A CDL highly preferred.

Driving Requirements: Follow all FMCSA and DOT regulations.

Physical Requirements - Lift and carry up to 100 pounds, tip and move 55-gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds with the use of equipment. Must be able to reach, push, pull, and grasp with arms and hands. Will require daily climbing, standing, crouching and/or kneeling, sitting, walking, driving, and transitioning in/out of vehicles. Must be able to talk, hear, and feel attributes of objects or temperatures by touching with the skin. Required to have the visual acuity to safely and legally operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.

Work Environment - Indoors and outdoors, with exposure to environmental conditions such as extreme winter weather, precipitation, and wind. Includes potential exposure to harmful chemicals, dust, odors, fumes, oil, and gases. Employee will be subject to inclement weather and road conditions found throughout the region. Noise level is typically moderate, occasionally loud.

Language Skills - Ability to read, interpret, and understand documents such as safety rules, safety data sheets (SDSs), operating instructions, and procedure manuals. English language fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending.

Computer Skills - Efficiently navigate a web browser, mobile applications, electronic timesheets, electronic logs, and programs such as OneNote for recording daily deliveries. Employee is required to own a smart phone for this position.

Mathematical Skills - Ability to accurately calculate and record chemical inventory is crucial. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using weight and volume measurements.

Must pass a pre-employment background check motor vehicle record check, FMCSA Clearinghouse, drug test, and education verification.
