Regional Project Manager

Job Description

This is a high-visibility leadership role overseeing critical airside pavement work at one of the most complex airport environments in the country. A trusted specialty contractor is hiring a Regional Project Manager to lead airside construction projects in the DFW market, with full ownership of safety, execution, client relationships, and profitability. This role sits at the center of the operation and is based primarily on-site in the project trailer. You will manage multiple phases, coordinating trades, navigating permitting and airport operations, and keeping complex, time-sensitive work moving without disruption. It's a hands-on seat for a builder, not a consultant. They're looking for a proven airside construction leader with deep DFW experience, strong local relationships, and the judgment to run high-stakes airport projects from the ground up.

Regional Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of airside pavement construction projects, including asphalt and concrete pavement preservation
  • Manage safety meetings, site compliance, and coordination with airport operations
  • Oversee project schedules across 10+ phases while maintaining tight deadlines and MOT requirements
  • Manage change orders, budgets, and project profitability
  • Coordinate subcontractors, trades, inspectors, and internal field teams
  • Handle permitting, clearances, and required airport documentation
  • Serve as the primary client-facing leader, building and maintaining strong airport and stakeholder relationships
  • Hire, manage, and retain high-performing project teams
  • Partner closely with the Field Superintendent, Project Engineer, and leadership team
  • Use project management and estimating software to track progress, costs, and reporting

Regional Project Manager Requirements:
  • 10+ years of overall project management experience in construction
  • Minimum 5 years managing projects in the DFW market with strong local relationships
  • Direct airside construction experience at DFW Airport is required
  • Proven experience with airside pavement, tarmac work, airport surface repair, slurry seal, joint seal, and reseal
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
  • Experience with subsurface airfield work
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Project, HeavyBid, and HCSS
  • Clean driving record and background check
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work onsite five days per week and adjust hours based on project demands
  • Former military experience preferred
  • Asphalt or paving Superintendent ready to step into a PM role preferred
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to help build and scale a regional operation preferred

Benefits:
  • Performance bonus: $5,000-$15,000 tied to project profitability
  • Company vehicle, company card, and company phone
  • Meals and entertainment allowance for client engagement
  • Medical insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • 401(k) with company contribution
  • PTO + 5 sick days + Paid holidays
  • Relocation assistance available for the right DFW-experienced candidate

This is a rare opportunity to step into a newly created leadership role, build a regional operation, and make a lasting impact without the red tape of a massive organization. If you know DFW airside work, thrive onsite, and want real ownership over your projects and team, this role was built for you. Apply now! #LI-BT1
