Engineering Manager Requirements: - 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or aerospace, HVAC experience is a plus
- Experience managing small teams preferred
- BA degree strongly preferred (mechanical engineering ideal), but experience takes priority
- Comfort interpreting technical drawings and performing R&D work
- Familiarity with CAD, Anvil software, and Excel for calculations
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with floor staff and engineers alike
- Even-keeled, open to feedback, and able to balance technical oversight with team management
Engineering Manager Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor two drafters while ensuring accurate and efficient product design
- Review and approve designs, ensuring compliance with certifications and client specifications
- Support R&D and product development initiatives before market release
- Identify opportunities for lean manufacturing and process improvements on the floor
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding product specifications and performance
- Ensure quality and accuracy in calculations, materials, and final reviews
