We are seeking to hire a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Maintenance Team

JOB SUMMARY

The Supervisor for Maintenance is responsible for the efficient, effective, and safe operation and up-keep of all production and utility equipment throughout the facility. This role is responsible for the functioning of the general maintenance, organization, and coordination of the shop and field activities including: installation, repair, inspection, fabrication, movement, and maintenance for all Facilities, Utilities, and Process machinery while ensuring compliance to cGMPs.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
  • Manages and leads all Maintenance activities. Plans and schedules work distribution and load, supervises activities of technicians and contractors in various craft and trade shops to ensure compliance and on time completion.
  • Supervises all Maintenance personnel.
  • Optimizes manufacturing and packaging equipment performance and utilization.
  • Manages, and controls Maintenance budgets and select project budgets.
  • System Matter Expert (SME) for all Preventative Maintenance electronic programs (CMMS) and reporting.
  • Develops, updates, and implements predictive and preventive maintenance programs and SOPs. Insures compliance to cGMP and EH&S guidelines and policies including site PSM processes.
  • Handling Quality Incident Reports as they pertain to Facilities or Maintenance
  • Manages onsite Contractors (including landscaping, snow removal, equipment repair, etc.) and activities to ensure safe work practices and compliance with all site cGMP requirements.
  • Maintain, implement and evaluate site contractor agreements and annual services.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g Manufacturing, QA/QC, Validation, R&D) to implement site changes.
  • Promote and insure implementation of cost control, quality improvement, and safety programs.
  • Establishes training programs or policy to make sure technicians continue to improve technical skills and stay current with SOPs.
  • Upholds Company policies, including the Professional Conduct Policy and Prohibition Against Harassment Policy, and the Business Ethics and Conduct Code
  • Works on special assignments and other activities as required by the Engineering Department.
  • Represents organization to the local Community and to Governmental Inspectors, including:
    • Local inspectors from L&I, the Water Department, the Air Management Services, etc.
    • State inspectors including PADEP, Department of Labor Elevator Unit, etc.
    • Federal inspectors from the EPA, etc.
    • Assists other staff in the facility with inspectors from the DEA, FDA, etc., where requested
    • Keeps the Director of Engineering informed of the inspectors and solicits assistance
    • Other groups or agencies as assigned or as they present themselves

REQUIREMENTS
  • BS Degree preferred, High School diploma and technical school and/or training acceptable
  • 5+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing operations, engineering, or management, preferably in the pharmaceutical, chemical or similar industries.
  • Experience with solvent/hazardous based processing preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to coordinate, contribute to and work within a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Able to prioritize duties and manage multiple projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
