About Us:
OTTO WERKS is a Scottsdale-based Porsche-specialized motorsport, service, and restoration facility known for exceptional craftsmanship and engineering excellence. Our fabrication program supports concours restorations, motorsport builds, custom engineering projects, and in-house hardline, chassis, and component work. We are growing and investing heavily in a world-class fabrication and metalwork division, and we're looking for a leader capable of driving that standard forward.
Position Summary:
OTTO WERKS is seeking a highly experienced Fabrication Manager to lead and grow our metalwork and chassis restoration department. This is a senior, hands-on role focused on early Porsche restoration (356, SWB/LWB 911), motorsport fabrication, structural repair, and concours-level metal finishing. The ideal candidate is a master fabricator with deep Porsche knowledge, leadership capabilities, and an obsession for metalwork executed to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:

- Lead, build, and mentor a growing in-house fabrication team; establish and maintain fabrication SOPs and quality standards.
- Perform and manage structural chassis repairs, straightening, and panel alignment on a Celette bench using Porsche-correct jigs.
- Execute concours-level metal restoration, including panel replacement, rust repair, hand-forming panels, and precise metal finishing.
- Design and build roll cages, seat mounts, brackets, cooling/oil hardlines, and motorsport components to FIA/club-level specifications.
- Interpret and execute OEM body measurements, prints, and structural geometry for correct Porsche restoration.
- Work closely with the Body/Paint, Mechanical, and Motorsports departments to ensure seamless integration of fabrication into full builds.
- Visualize, design, and fabricate custom sheet metal and one-off components using English wheels, planishing hammers, brakes/shears, shrinkers/stretchers, TIG/MIG welding, etc.
- Manage project timelines, material ordering, and coordination with outside vendors (platers, machine shops, coatings).
- Maintain exceptionally clean and organized fabrication spaces consistent with OTTO WERKS standards.
- Provide accurate time assessments and documentation for time-and-materials billing.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of hands-on Porsche-specific metalwork experience, especially 356 and early 911.
- Mastery of panel shaping, metal finishing, TIG/MIG welding, and traditional and modern restoration techniques.
- Deep experience with Celette bench chassis alignment, structural repair, jig use, and factory-correct geometry.
- Proven ability to fabricate high-quality roll cages and motorsport components.
- Concours-level restoration background with examples or portfolio required.
- Strong ability to visualize, design, and execute custom solutions across sheet metal and tubing.
- Ability to lead and grow a team; department-level communication and planning skills.
