The School for Independent Learners (SIL) is seeking a part-time, in-person AP Computer Science Teacher to provide primarily one-to-one instruction to high school students. The ideal candidate will have teaching, tutoring, or professional experience in computer science, programming, or a related field. Experience working with high-school students is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable teaching: AP Computer Science Introductory Computer Science and programming fundamentals Object-oriented programming Algorithms and problem solving Data structures Java and other programming languages commonly used in high-school computer science courses Experience teaching mathematics or additional STEM subjects is a strong plus, but not required.
