Position Summary The Frederick F. Paustian Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center ( PIBDC ) is a recently created center (est. 2022) dedicated to improving the lives of IBD patients through expert, integrated, innovative patient-centered care as well as through ground-breaking clinical, translational and basic research programs. A prospective biobank with a sample-linked clinical database has been established to serve the center’s research mission. We are seeking to expand our center’s strengths in epidemiology, microbiome study, genetics, epithelial and mucosal biology and immunology investigations. This position offers the opportunity to conduct research that uncovers the mechanisms of environmental, diet, and gut microbial factors on IBD development through host genetics, immunity and epithelial responses.
