LTA Research and Exploration, an aerospace start-up, is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic specializing in systems integration on research and development flight vehicles. In order to help advance our goal of bringing revolutionary airships to life, the A&P Mechanic will work directly with the appropriate company personnel to organize, plan, and execute the integration of various subsystems. In order to help advance our goal of bringing revolutionary airships to life, the Avionics Technician will work directly with the appropriate company personnel to organize, plan, and execute the troubleshooting, installation, and inspections of various subsystems. This position will also provide flight operational support as required. Responsibilities: Four years’ experience in an avionics/electrical career field or two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics plus two years of aviation experience. Responsibilities Works under the direction of the Director of Ground Operations performing duties necessary to maintain safe, efficient operation of the airship. Represents the company and airship operations in a professional and appropriate manner in all aspects on and off the job. Leads and supports a team of Airship Ground Crew members, Ground Handlers, and Lead Ground Crew members in all operational, logistical, and administrative requirements. Participates in airship launching and landing activities, as well as ground handling duties as required. Tends to airship systems management watch in rotational shifts with coworkers, including overnight shifts when the airship is moored on the mast.
