Position Summary The Assistant Laboratory Manager supervises daily laboratory activities and personnel in the area of responsibility (e.g., writing procedures, employee scheduling, laboratory inspections, Quality Control, new instrument setup and correlation, proficiency testing, employee evaluations and disciplinary coaching, and other special assignments). Recommends personnel for hiring and/or termination. Performs clinical laboratory testing when routine bench load warrants 50% of the time. Assist with employee training and competency. Assumes responsibilities of the manager in their absence. Assists with budget preparation. Minimum Requirements BS Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or Biologic Science. MLS/MT (ASCP, AMT, HEW, or equivalent) certification is required.
