What Your Job Will Be Like We are seeking a hands on graduate level engineering student in the Concentrating Solar Test & Demonstration to assist our R&D staff with the development and testing of new thermal energy applications at the National Solar Thermal Test Facility (NSTTF). This work may include: Assembling and running experiments related to the heat transfer/thermodynamic performance of supercritical CO 2 Brayton cycle systems, thermal energy storage systems Testing on novel high temperature falling particles and molten salt chemistries. Understanding and adherence to applicable Sandia National laboratories ES&H requirements and guidelines will be important for this position as you will be performing hands on experiments and tests. This position requires the candidate to be able to lift up to 35 pounds, and be able to push and pull.
