5 More Cities Willing to Pay You to Move There

Five new communities across the country are now investing to attract new residents. Cedar Rapids (IA), Fort Wayne (IN), Macon-Bibb (GA), Southwest Michigan and Switzerland County (IN) will pay professionals to move there. 

 

These communities have partnered with MakeMyMove, the first and only online relocation marketplace to recruit new residents. Applications are now open for the following locations:  

  • Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This family-friendly region offers a rare mix of safety, connection and opportunity that feels like a throwback to simpler times. These communities join a growing list of cities, counties and states across the country that are using economic development funds to invest in recruiting new residents. More than 80 communities are actively recruiting and offering incentives for remote workers to relocate through MakeMyMove. Nearly 200,000 applications have been submitted by people hoping to relocate through the platform since December 2020 - with many citing affordability, safety and a fresh start at a better quality of life as their top motivations.
