The Hughes Lab within the Aging & Metabolism Research Program is seeking a motivated Research Technician at the I or II level to support studies on the cellular and molecular mechanisms that regulate skeletal muscle size and function, particularly in the context of disease and aging. One interest of the laboratory is understanding the role of post-translational modifications, such as ubiquitination and acetylation, on the regulation of nuclear receptors and in different sexes. This work involves the use of in vitro and in vivo models with a variety of laboratory techniques to advance our understanding of muscle biology.
