As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, reliable network infrastructure to support business operations. This role ensures optimal performance, resolves connectivity issues, and collaborates with the IT department to enhance system efficiency and scalability. This role also involves collaborating on projects and delivering excellent support to internal stakeholders.
Job Type:Full-Time (On-Site, Non-Remote)
Location:Corporate Office - Fort Wayne, IN (Relocation Assistance Not Provided)
Schedule:8:00am-5:00pmMonday-Friday, on call rotation some nights, holidays, and weekends.
Responsibilities:- Design, install, configure, and maintain network equipment including switches, routers, firewalls, access points, and cabling.
- Maintain domains, IP addresses, VLANs, LAN/WAN, and network policies
- Collaborate with the Systems Engineer and Network & Systems Administrator to maintain a rigorous security posture by managing ACLs, IDS/IPS, spam and web filtering, camera systems, and physical access control systems
- Assist with quoting and purchasing of new network equipment under the direction of the Network & Systems Administrator.
- Reviewnetwork monitoring and logs and takeappropriate action.
- Assist and collaborate with IT team members as a backup and knowledge resource.
- Rotate on-call duties with assignedstaff as scheduled, including emergencies, nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Keepabreast of emerging technologies and best practices in network engineering.
Skills & QualificationsRequired Skills:- Proven experiencein designing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure.
- Strong ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and secure network operations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments on assigned projects.
- Familiarity with networking technology, topology, and security appliances with a strong desire togrow in this field.
Qualifications:- Job Level: Mid-Level
- Required Experience: 3-5years of similar or related experience.
- Preferred Education: Bachelorsdegree or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent.
